Volkswagen India launches Polo and Vento with new features

The German car maker, Volkswagen updates Polo hatchback and Vento Sedan with new features which are now on sale across all VW dealerships in India. The vehicles get some tweaks to make overall package more competitive and better. The price of updated Polo starts at Rs. 5.33 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) while new Vento is available for Rs. 7.85 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

In September last year, Volkswagen updated the Polo and Vento with goodies like Cooled glove box, cruise control and electrically foldable rear view mirrors. Now, to compete with competitors like Jazz, Baleno, Figo Aspire, Ciaz and City sedan VW has now loaded both Polo and Vento with dynamic touchscreen infotainment system with Mirror link connectivity, phone book, SMS viewer, auto dimming rear view mirror and rain sensing wipers.

There are no changes in the design, interiors and on mechanical front. The 2016 Vento is available with three engine options- 1.2l Turbocharged petrol, 1.5l TDI diesel and 1.6l MPI petrol mill. The Polo hatchback draws the power from 1.2l MPI petrol and 1.5l TDI diesel engines. Both the cars are bestselling for the carmaker in India with an average sale of 3000units collectively.

2016 Polo and Vento will also be showcased at the upcoming Auto Expo alongside new Passat, Tiguan SUV, Polo GTI and Ameo compact sedan. In January 2016, Volkswagen has witnessed a growth of 8 percent and retailed 4018 units as compared to 3734 units in the same month of last year.
