Tata reveals 45X at Auto Expo 2018

While enjoying the success of Tiago, Tata Motors showcased their premium hatchback 45X concept at the Auto Expo 2018. It is based on Tata’s brand new ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) architecture. The car will definitely compete with Maruti Baleno and Hyundai Elite i10. 45 X. Concepts indicate that it could be a futuristic looking car as it is based on Tata motor’s new impact 2.0 design philosophy. Though Tata hasn’t provided any specific time for the arrival of the product, we think it will be introduced by 2019.

The 45X carries a futuristic design and the overall silhouette is something that you have not seen in any Tata car till date. Its design is super modern and has an air of minimalism. The rear profile overshadows the rest of the car with a sharply raked windscreen. At the front, the car gets a sleek grille and headlamps along with the tri-arrow details in the bumper.

Tata did not show the inside of the car in Auto Expo, so there are no details about the interiors. Still, we expect the Nexon’s floating dashboard design to be used for 45X as well.

In terms of engine, the 45X premium hatchback will have same Tiago mechanicals but with boosted power and torque outputs. While the petrol and diesel, models will have standard gearboxes as automatic gearbox options aren’t confirmed yet.
