Skoda Octavia View

More than performance, Skoda Octavia has been famous for reshuffling and revision of variants. The D-segment sedan was initially launched in Active, Ambition and Elegance trims but later on Active and elegance were discontinued. Now, Skoda has introduced a new Ambition Plus trim which pitches between Ambition and Style Plus grades. The Ambition Plus variant is approx Rs. 2 lakh cheaper than range topping plus trim and comes with decent list of features. This move could be the result of recently launched new Gen Hyundai Elantra in India.

The new variant starts at Rs. 19.33 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and comes in both diesel and petrol versions, the former can be had in manual as well as automatic while petrol is only available with manual gearbox. The 1.4 litre TSI petrol develops 138bhp@4500-6000rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1500-2500rpm. The 2.0 litre TDI oil burner churns out 141bhp@4000rpm and 320Nm of high torque between 1750-3000rpm.
