Skoda is on the verge of reaching 1 million sales mark in the current year which is happening for the first time in 119 year history of Skoda. Skoda has produced over 1 million units this year and sold over 9, 55,000 vehicles across the globe till November 2014. This is almost 35,000 units more than the vehicles sold during the entire 2013. Skoda delivered around 90,200 units in the month of November almost 10% more than its previous performance.
Skoda is probably the longest running brand in car automobile industry being established 119 years ago and still achieving 1 million in a year is a tremendous achievement. Company reach this achievement due to its great performance globally but main contributor in getting this feat is China’s market growth.
In the month of November 2014 Skoda Sold 26,800 units in China as compared to 18,200 units sold in the same month of last year boosting the sales figures by 46.9 percent. Main contributor in China’s sales new introduced Skoda Octavia which sales grew up by 112.4 percent.

Skoda has done wonders in markets of Europe and China but in India it managed only 1200 units as compared to 1600 units in 2013.
Skoda CEO Winfried Vahland said in the statement that “following the positive results in November, the milestone of one million vehicles produced and sold in one calendar year is certain,” and the Czech automakers is now in the process of developing a new SUV that would be added to the lineup to compliment the only model in the range – the Yeti compact crossover.
He further added “ŠKODA will set a new sales record this year. Following the positive results in November, the milestone of one million vehicles produced and sold in one calendar year is certain.”
