Renault Lodgy World edition launched in India; starts at Rs. 9.74 lakh

In a bid to up the declining sales graph, the French car maker Renault today has launched the Lodgy world edition in the Indian passenger car market. The edition features 25 new enhancements including that for both exteriors and interiors to enhance the road presence and premium quotient of the model. The new edition will be available with both 85PS and 110PS trim priced at Rs. 9.74 lakh and 10.40 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively.

So far Lodgy didn’t manage to set sales charts on fire; therefore Renault announced a massive slash in the prices of 85PS variants. The Renault Lodgy world edition draws power from the same 1.5l DCi diesel engine offers two states of tunes 85PS and 110PS. The former delivers 83bhp power and 200Nm of torque, linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox and delivers 21.04 Kmpl of mileage. The 110PS version belts out 108.5bhp power and 245Nm of torque, coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission and claimed to return 19.18 Kmpl of mileage.

In terms of modifications, the world edition features a two tone bumper, chrome satin garnish fog lamps, and jewel studded front grille lending great aesthetic finish on the MPV. It also gets World edition badge, body graphics, 15” Nepta finish alloy wheels with black wheel arch cladding, black and chrome finish side mouldings, textured and matte finish B7C pillar, dual tone roof rails and a rear spoiler. The limited edition is available in four new color shades- moonlight silver, Royal Orchid, new fiery red and pearl white.

The MPV also receives some nips and tucks inside, it is greeted with anodized orange tinge on the HVAC air con vents, instrument console and floor carpets, new upholstery with orange lining, 2nd and 3rd row seats with 60:40 and 50:50 spilt functions, glossy black multi function steering wheel with dual tone world edition badge. Other value added features on board are 2 DIN audio system with bluetooth Aux-in and CD support, AC vents for 2nd and 3rd row with smart sense technology, 12V sockets for all rows, central locking with keyless entry, headlight on reminder, electrically adjustable ORVMs etc.

As for the safety, the Lodgy Edition comes with driver side airbag, anti-lock brake system (ABS), electronic brake force distribution (EBD), brake assist, auto door lock, engine immobilizer, driver seat belt reminder and rear door child lock.
