Porsche launches Cayenne Platinum edition in India; starts at Rs. 1.07 crore

Porsche has announced the launch of special editions of two of its Cayenne SUV in India dubbed as Platinum edition. The edition would be available in limited quantity and it is now available for order now while deliveries will commence from August 2016. The limited edition petrol is priced at Rs. 1.06 crore while diesel Cayenne platinum edition costs at Rs. 1.09 crore (ex-showroom Maharashtra).

Overall proportions remain same but there are some special elements on board such as RS Spyder designed 20 inch alloy wheels, wider wheel arches, bi-xenon headlights with LED DRLs, Porsche dynamic light system (PDLS) and platinum badging on the door sills.

On the inside, seats are wrapped in premium leather and get eight way adjustability functions, park assist for front and rear, 7 inch touchscreen system with navigation, Apple car play, connect plus module and Porsche communication system (PCM). It also sports Bose surround sound system and classy analogue panel at the dashboard, Alcantara leather finish central console and Porsche on the adjustable headrests.

Adding Up, standard features include power steering plus, automatic anti-glare feature for inner and outer rear view mirrors, panoramic sunroof, 4-zone automatic climate control, mobile phone connectivity, electrical sun blinds, adaptive air suspension, Porsche active suspension system.

Apart from two standard non metallic colors- Black and white, it is also available in some optional shades which are deep black, rhodium silver metallic, carrera white, Pupurite and Mahogany.

The limited edition draws power from the same engines which mean diesel version is powered by a 3.0 litre engine that belts out 241bhp power@3800-4400rpm and 550Nm of torque between 1750-2750rpm while petrol gets a 3.6 litre engine producing 295bhp of output@6300rpm and 400Nm of torque@3000rpm. Both the engines are linked to an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission.
