The Range Rover Evoque has been exceptionally admired in India as well as internationally and it is company’s bestselling model for some years now. So, to make it even more tempting and compelling buy Land Rover has launched the updated Evoque in India at a price tag of Rs 47.1 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) for the pure trim. Presence of Bollywood Diva Jacqueline Fernandez has added a feather to the event.

The car will be locally assembled in India and will take on the likes of Audi Q5, Volvo XC90 and BMW X3. Bookings for the facelift model began a month ago and Land Rover has already received 125 confirmed orders. The vehicle is offered with 3years/1 lakh kms warranty along with a 3 year service plan.

Price:

The new model is available in four variants; the entry level Pure variant is priced at Rs. 47.1 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai) while the top HSE dynamic variants cost at a whopping price of Rs. 63.2 lakh.

Engine details:

Powering the updated model is a familiar 4-cylinder 2.2 litre SD4 diesel engine tuned to produce 187bhp of max clout@3500rpm and massive torque of 420Nm@2000rpm mated to a 9-speed ZF automatic transmission with paddle shifters on steering wheel.

The Evoque comes with terrain response and AWD system as standard across all variants. The engine propels the car to make 0-100km/hr sprint in just 7.5 seconds and capable of attaining a top speed of 195km/hr.

Space and Dimensions:

The new five door compact SUV measures 4355mm in length, 1985 of width, 1635mm in height along with a wheelbase of 2660mm ensures optimum in cabin space for the passengers. The car comes with 500m of wading depth which means it is the maximum depth at which a particular vehicle can run in water.

Colors:

The facelifted range rover Evoque is available in six paint schemes- Santorini black, Fuji white, Scotia grey, Firenze red, Loire blue and Phoenix orange.  

Exterior and Interior:

The new compact SUV doesn’t arrive with significant changes; however it comes with two new grille designs (depending upon the variant), full LED adaptive Xenon headlights with incorporated daytime running lights, revised bumper with larger intakes. The bulky bonnet now flaunts two side air con vents which were earlier used to come with three door variants only. The new model also adopts three new alloy wheel designs, full LED tail lights and new spoiler at rear. These aforesaid features enhance the look of the car and give it the aggressive stance as compared to its predecessor.

The interior of new Evoque is same as before except for the new seats with eight way power adjustable feature, HSE variant gets 14-way adjustment with massage function, new doorsills and new range of colors such as Vintage tan, Dark cherry and Lunar ice which take the tally to 13 colors. In addition, you also get 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system, Meridian audio system with navigation, surround camera, mood lighting, head up display, soft touch materials and rear seat entertainment to up the premium feel of the car.

Safety:

As for the safety, the new Evoque offers an array of safety features such as eight airbags ( airbags for front and rear occupants, knee airbag etc), dynamic stability control, hill descent control, vehicle stability control, electric parking brake, ABS with EBD, torque vectoring by Braking and parking aid include rear camera with hitching guidance.
