Maruti Suzuki Brezza Vitara Back

Revealed at the auto Expo last month, the much anticipated compact SUV Maruti Vitara Brezza has been launched in India. Maruti’s first ever sub 4m SUV is available only with a diesel engine option only and will lock its horns with Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300. With around 98 percent of localization levels, the SUV has been specifically designed for the Indian market. Here is all you need to know about the new Kid in the SUV segment:-

Price:

The high local content certainly helped the carmaker to price it competitively; the base variant of Brezza is available at Rs. 6.99 Lakhs while the top end Zdi+ (dual tone) version is priced at Rs. 9.68 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Engine Details:

As said it is available with diesel powertrain only, however Maruti will launch the petrol version at a later stage. Vitara Brezza is powered by a 1248cc 1.3l fiat sourced DDis oil burner seen on Ciaz sedan, the engine is good for 89bhp of max output@4000rpm and 200Nm of high torque@1750rpm. Available with two wheel drive configuration only, the engine is linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The Fuel efficiency the SUV stands at 24.3KMPL (ARAI certified) which is higher than what Ford EcoSport (22.7KMPL) and Mahindra TUV300 (18.9KMPL) is offering.

Space and Dimensions:

The compact SUV looks proportionate with dimensions of 3995mm length, 1790mm width, 1640mm of height and sits on a wheelbase of 2500. The five seater car offers an impressive ground clearance of 198mm while it has a boot space of 328 liters.

Exterior and Interior:

To be sold via NEXA dealerships, Brezza is build on Suzuki’s iv-4 concept, flaunts a wider stance and incorporates a vertical single slat grille, Projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, clamshell bonnet, honeycomb air dam flanked by faux silver skid and roundish fog lamps. The side profile somewhat display the real SUV and crossover style with flared wheel arches, body cladding, small glass windows and 16 inch multi spoke alloy wheels.
