Honda Cars India Ltd. seems to make its popular sedan more refreshing in this New Year so that more customers could attract toward this amazing Amaze. That’s why company has introduced a new trim in this silently. This is named as SX and it will be available in both petrol and diesel engines.
The Amaze SX petrol has the price tag of 6.04 lakhs while the Amaze SX diesel costs at 6.90 lakhs.
This new trim is placed between the Amaze’s S and VX variants and in this way, this sedan has total 12 variants now. No mechanical changes have done in it, this new variant continues the existing engine fuels like Amaze’s another variants.
This new SX variant is powered by the 4-cylinder, SOHC i-VTEC petrol and 4-cylinder, DOHC i-DTEC diesel engine.
It will continue with the entire features of its siblings, no major changes as well as addition are reported. But being a top variant than S, it gets few more safety features like front dual airbags (in both) and ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) also in petrol as well as diesel trim (earlier ABS was present in all diesel variants but only in one petrol variant).
Among these variants available in Amaze, Honda claims that S variant is the most popular. There was a huge price gap between the Amaze’s two variants S and VX, thus, to fulfill this gap, this new SX variant has been introduced which sits between S and VX.
Jnaneswar Sen, senior vice-president (Marketing and Sales) said, “The Amaze has witnessed great success in the Indian market by selling more than 60,000 units since its launch in April 2013 and has been a game changer for Honda. It is our constant endeavor to study customers’ needs and aspirations and to introduce features that enhance the overall ownership experience. We are pleased to introduce the SX variant of the Amaze with added safety features. The S variant has been the most popular variant in the Amaze range and with the addition of the SX variant, we are confident that this new variant will appeal and bring delight to the customers seeking safety features at the volume range.”
