The engine is available with a “normal mode’ which brings down the torque to 206Nm.

The exterior design is inspired from Fiat 500 hatch which comes with some cosmetic upgrades to give it a distinct identity from the standard model. The features which differentiate the new model from the previous one are sport front and rear bumpers, round Xenon headlamps, U shaped front grille, side decals, sporty side skirts, five spoke 17 inch alloy wheels with Pirelli PZero Tyres, twin Monza quad exhausts at rear and racing strips on the bonnet. There is a blackened roof top, Abarth badging, ORVMs finished in dark grey color, integrated roof spoiler to make it more unique than its previous model.

As for the gizmos and features the car comes with manual climate control, electric sunroof, 7 inch TFT display but no touchscreen or navigation, blue & me hands free system with USB and a flat bottom steering wheel. The entire cabin is decorated with red and black color shade with racing seats getting contrast stitching and also aluminum pedals, bespoke floor mats, boost gauge and graphite finished dashboard gives car the sportier look.

CarZoom’s Take:

Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione competes with only other premium hatchback in the country Mini Cooper but as per its price it will lock its horns with Mercedes-Benz A-class and upcoming Volkswagen Beetle. The exterior design has nothing to excite while the only good thing we come across is the engine of Abarth 595 along with an AMT. So let the sales numbers speak for the new performance hatchback.
