Audi has finally launched the much awaited facelift version of Q3 compact luxury SUV at an introductory price of Rs. 28.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). New Audi Q3 looks sharper than before and gets cosmetic changes both outside and inside while mechanically it remains unaltered. New Audi Q3 has been launched in four variants- Q3 S, Q3 premium and Q3 premium plus. Audi Q3 was first launched in 2012 and completes three year in Indian market.

Price:

With exterior and interior updates, prices of new Q3 has gone up slightly as compared to outgoing model and following the are the prices of new Audi Q3 (ex-showroom Delhi).

  • Audi Q3S- Rs. 28.99 lakh
  • Audi Q3 Premium- Rs. 33.99 lakh
  • Audi Q3 Premium Plus- Rs. 37.50 lakh

Engine details:

Powering the Audi Q3 facelift is the same 2.0L 4-cylinder TDI diesel motor tuned to produce 177bhp power@4200rpm and 380Nm of peak torque between 1750-2500rpm mated to a seven speed S tronic automatic gearbox with paddle shifters and Audi’s Quattro all wheel drive system. The entry level is equipped with the same engine but produces less power of 138bhp power and comes with 6-speed manual transmission and front wheel drive only.

The SUV can make 0-100km sprint in 8.2 seconds with the top speed of 212km/hr and returns ARAI certified mileage of 15.73 KMPL.

Space and Dimensions:

The Baby SUV might look compact from the outset but actually it’s not. The luxury SUV is 4388mm long, 2019mm wide and 1608mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2603mm. Audi Q3 facelift offers 170mm of ground clearance which good enough to absorb potholes and sport 460 liters of boot space.

Exterior and Interiors:

It is a facelift not a new model hence changes are limited but impactful such as new 3D effect single frame grille with horizontal slats, a new front bumper with revamped wider air ducts, slimmer LED headlights with integrated turn indicators. Rear and side profiles remain same except for new 17” multi-spoke Y-shaped alloy wheels, revised rear bumper and tail lights with dynamic turn indicators.

On the inside, the basic layout of dashboard remains same as the outgoing model but gets the new 3D aluminum inserts replacing the faux wood finish. Dual tone black-beige and an all black are the two options on offer for upholstery.

In terms of features Q3 facelift boasts number of features such as new retraceable 7 inch screen MMI with navigation plus and 3D maps, new multi function steering wheel, powered front seats, 2SD card slots, a 3.5 inch HD driver information display system, centre and front armrests, new 10 speakers 180 watts sound system, 20GB hard drive, Panoramic sunroof, aluminum accents on door trims, a phone holder with charger and signal booster function aided by car’s antenna, bluetooth connectivity and streaming.

Colors:

Audi Q3 facelift is available in six trendy colors- Cortina White, Floret Silver, Mythos Black, Misano Red, Utopia Blue and Tundra Brown.

As far as safety is concerned, Audi Q3 facelift gets six full size airbags includes one for driver and front passenger, head and side airbags, ESC (electronic stability control), traction control to reduce the spinning of wheels, Anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic differential lock (EDL) automatically put brakes on drive wheels on too slippery roads, electronic stabilization control (ESC), brake disc wiping distribution, wheel selective torque distribution which targets brake actions depending upon the driving situations.  

Audi is also offering parking aid plus with rear view camera, cruise control at the speed of 30km/hr and above, hill start assist, hill descent control, parking aid rear by concealing ultrasonic sensors in the bumper, front fog lights, side on collision protection, child proof locks etc.
