In 2014 Audi had launched RS7 in India and now came up with facelift version of the Sportback in the country, priced at Rs. 1.40 crore (ex-showroom Delhi). The 2015 version was launched in international markets in June last year with comprehensive exterior and interior updates. Audi RS7 facelift is a part of company’s “15 in 15” strategy and it has also planned four new models over the next four months as a part of the strategy.

Price:

Audi has launched the 2015 RS7 sportback at the gigantic price of Rs. 1.40 crores (ex-showroom Delhi), the new variant is approximately 12 lakh more expensive than the outgoing model.

Engine Details:

Under the hood, the 2015 RS7 retains the 4.0L TFSI twin turbo petrol engine of the outgoing model that produces 552bhp power and 700Nm torque. The facelifted RS7 matched to an eight speed tip tronic automatic transmission and the power is distributed to all wheels via Audi’s Torsen (torque sensing) Quattro all wheel drive system.

The 2015 RS7 Sportback reaches 100 km from a standstill in just 3.9 seconds with an electronically limited speed of 255 km/hr which can be bumped up to 280 km/hr or 305 km/hr with the ‘Dynamic Package’.

The RS7 also comes with much improved Cylinder deactivation system which shuts four cylinders out of eight in case they are not in use and the Sportback offers marginal enhancement in fuel efficiency.

Space and Dimensions:   

The five door sportback has a seating capacity for four persons with ample amount of legroom space thanks to 2915mm of long wheelbase. The 2015 RS7 is 5012mm long, 1911mm wide, 1419mm tall and offers enormous boot space of 535 liters. The fuel capacity and ground clearance of RS7 Sportback is 75 liters and 109mm respectively.

Exterior and Interior:

The 5 door Saloon gets a new front fascia with large air in takes, six lane single frame Black honeycomb grille with revised bumper and Quattro lettering but the eye catchy change new Audi RS7 has is the T-shaped LED headlights with optional LED Matrix headlight technology. Side profile remains same except the 20” light alloy wheels with an optional 21 inch aluminum alloy wheels. The old Tail lamps are now replaced by new LED tail lamps with turn indicators and LED graphics. To make 2015 Audi RS 7 more stunning Audi is offering three optional packages- Gloss black, Carbon and Matt Aluminum.

The RS7 Sportback gets new controls for Air conditioning, RS Sports seats with integrated head restraints, new paddle shifters, revised instrument cluster with Quattro embedded on it, black theme with carbon inserts even at illuminated door sill.

The sexy Saloon also has an updated new head up display unit, MMI plus infotainment system with new Nvidia graphic processor and touchpad controller, Bose surround sound system, four zone climate control and flat bottom multi function steering wheel.

Colors:

The 2015 RS7 Sportback is offered in four new paint shades including Sepang blue, Mythos Black, Glacier white and Floret Silver. The RS7 is also available with Audi’s exclusive customized paint finishes.

Safety:

Audi’s performance oriented Sports car rides on light weighted Hybrid aluminum Body shell and it is packed with safety features such as Night vision assistant with highlighting of detected pedestrians which provides visibility beyond the light given by beams and analysis the movement of the pedestrians, Camera bound speed limit display, Hold assist, parking system plus, front-rearview cameras etc.

Audi RS7 is loaded with eight airbags including side, head and front airbags, electromechanical power steering, RS adaptive air suspension with four modes- auto, comfort, dynamic and lift, RS sports suspension plus with dynamic ride control (DRC), RS brake system, ABS, EBD and Electronic stabilization control (ESC) with brake assist, anti-slip regulation (ASR) and Start-stop system.

The 2015 Audi RS 7 is four seater Saloon/Sports car and competes with BMW M6 Gran coupe in India.
