New Hyundai Creta to get dual tone paint and new features

Hyundai Creta was launched in 2015 and has been one of the blockbusters SUV in India. The SUV grabbed ICOTY 2016 (Indian car of the year) thanks to eye catchy design, rich features and Hyundai’s reliability. The SUV still selling with great numbers but in order to stay ahead of the competition, the carmaker is now looking to update Creta cosmetically both inside and outside. According to leaked brochure new Creta will get dual tone paint option and some new features.

The dual shade will be available in two coloursRed passion and Polar white and it will be offered on SX+ MT trim. The variant will also be available with red and black seat upholstery and all black interiors.

Besides new trim, 2017 Creta will receive updated 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Mirror link app, Android auto, Apple car play and Arkamys sound mood audio system. Biggest update will be the availability of 1.4l diesel engine on the E+ variant which develops 88bhp power and 220Nm of torque

The 1.4l U2 CRDi will not be offered on the base E variant. The new E+ will be available with steering mounted control and 5.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Other engine options include 1.6l CRDi diesel engine that makes 126bhp power and 260Nm of torque while 1.6l dual VVT petrol is good for 121bhp of max power and 151Nm of torque. Transmission options include the 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic.

Currently, Creta Anniversary edition is on offer featuring dual tone colour shade and similar features to SX+ trim. However, it is likely to be discontinued once new Creta gets launched in India.
