Mercedes-Benz launches 2016 E-class in India at Rs. 48.50 lakhs

Celebrating the Global anniversary of E-class, Mercedes-Benz has launched the new MY (Model year) of 2016 E-class in India which is available for sale at all dealerships across the country. The E-class is the highest selling model for the Mercedes-Benz in India, ticking over 30,000 units till date. In addition, more than 13 million units of E-class have been sold across the globe.

Prices of Mercedes-Benz new E-class (ex-showroom Delhi)-

  • Mercedes-Benz E-200: Rs. 48.50 lakh
  • Mercedes-Benz E-250 CDI: Rs. 50.70 lakh
  • Mercedes-Benz E-350 CDI: Rs. 59.90 lakh

 

What’s New?

The MY-16 edition gets Garmin map navigation which has excellent route guidance and accurate map data. The navigation software and all the map data is now set on SD card and comes with pre-loaded maps for 7068 cities at a street level and house level data for more than 80 cities.

The Garmin map navigation covers over 10.63 million POIs, 3D terrain, building and landmark view, 2.1 million kms of road length, 5,79,000 towns and villages, photo-realistic junction view and has lane assist and 360 degree rotation functions.

The new E-class also comes loaded with new audio 20 telematics multimedia with radio, CD player, internet capability, integrated media interface for connecting I-phone and i-pod, bluetooth interface with hands free function and audio streaming for playing music files. It also has a 7.9 inch screen that features USB port and SD car slot for 3D map navigation.

All the models of new MY-16 E-class get a reverse camera with dynamic guide line to aid the driver in comfortable reverse parking and maneuvering.

The MY-16 models of E-class continue to be powered by same set of engines. The base 200 variant is powered by 2.0L petrol motor that makes 184PS power and 300Nm of peak torque, The E250 CDI takes the juice from 2.2L turbo diesel engine which churns out 204PS power and 500Nm of peak torque. The top variant E350 CDI is propelled by the bigger 3.0L V6 diesel motor which makes 265PS of max power and 620Nm of high torque. All the engines are mated to a start/stop feature and a 7G Tronic plus automatic transmission.
