Mercedes Benz India is planning to launch 15 cars in 2015 and will invest 150 crore in India facility

Mercedes Benz has ended 2014 on a higher not with over 10,000 vehicles sales mark in India for the first time in history. Mercedes will bet big in 2015 with more aggressive strategy and wide range of products. If 2014 was the year of excellence for Mercedes then this year will witness the company’s 15 in 2015 strategy with 15 new launches this year. Last year company has launched 10 models in the country but New Year will bring new hopes for the Mercedes as they want to gain their numero-Uno position in India again.

Apart from new launches Mercedes will expand their outlets range with 15 new outlets including 3 AMG performance outlets which will take the total to 80 outlets. Mercedes will invest 150 crores in its Chakan plant to double their production and to produce MFA range of cars. Chakan plant currently has a capacity of producing 20,000 units.

Mercedes Benz will first launch CLA sedan on 22nd January with the price around 30-35 lakh to rival Audi A3 sedan. CLA sedan will be available in both petrol and diesel options with coupe like design and some premium features it will surely attract the youth and might be great alternative of A3.

Among all most exciting might be the Baby SLS aka AMG GT which is powered by all new v8 turbo engine with two versions- GT & GT-S developing 460 to 505bhp power with price around Rs. 2 crore. A car who created Buzz in 2014 was the Maybach model- S600 which might be the company’s most luxurious offering till date with more premium features but still it might not able to match the Bentley’s and Rolls Royce class.
