Mercedes Benz GLC Celebration Edition launched in India at Rs. 50.86 lakh

To commemorate India’s 70 years of Independence, Mercedes-Benz has launched the celebration edition of its SUV GLC. The limited edition is available at Rs. 50.86 lakh for GLC 200d and Rs. 51.86 lakh for the GLC300. Both prices are of ex-showroom India. The SUV has had a successful run in India since its launch in June last year. It comes with a few additional changes and a new red paint shade called ‘Designo Hyacinth red’.

Coming to the changes, GLC celebration edition comes with chrome garnish on the front bumper, air vents and tail lights. It also sports LED logo projector, gloss black Outer rear view mirrors, rear twin exhaust dipped in chrome. On the inside, it features Garmin navigation system, exclusive sports pedals and 20 CD audio infotainment system.

Since it’s a special edition, there is no mechanical change inside. The petrol segment is taken care by a 1991cc turbocharged engine that makes 241bhp@5500rpm and 370Nm of torque between 1300-4000rpm. The diesel unit has a 2143cc engine which is good for 168bhp@3000-4200rpm and 400Nm of torque between 1400-2800rpm. Both engines are linked to a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
