Maruti Ertiga Facelift Spotted Testing in India: launch in Early 2015

Maruti Suzuki Dzire Facelift

After the launch of new Swift Maruti is now gearing up for the facelift version its top selling MPV Ertiga which has been spied testing in India for the first time. Ertiga is facing stiff competition from Honda’s Mobilio and upcoming Datsun Go+ so to re-establish its dominance in the MPV segment India’s top car manufacture is giving Ertiga a mild makeover.

According to the spied images which has been emerged online recently shows that Maruti didn’t want to make huge changes to the looks of Ertiga as they did with recently launched Swift because Maruti didn’t want to make much changes in the design which is accepted among the buyers.

Ertiga will have same body structure with few changes like:

Exterior:

  • New alloy wheel design
  • New twin slat front grille
  • Redesigned headlights and tail lamps
  • Modified front and rear bumpers
  • More chrome on boot lid

Interior, features and Equipments:

  • New fabric upholstery
  • Electrically adjustment for ORVM’s
  • Automatic climate control
  • Engine start stop button like new Swift
  • Automatic climate control
  • Improved fuel efficiency
  • Keyless entry

Well there are rumors that Ertiga facelift will get an AMT (Automated manual transmission) but it is not confirmed yet. Currently Ertiga is equipped with 5 speed manual transmission but we can expect 2015 Ertiga to come with 4 speed AMT as well.

Power trains of 2015 Ertiga will remain same 1.4L k series petrol that delivers 16 KPL mileage and 1.3L diesel which gives 20 KPL mileage, but one thing is for sure taking as recently launched Swift as reference one can expect at least 10 percent rise in fuel efficiency.

Currently Maruti Ertiga is price between 5.80-8.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and crossing approximately 5000 units sales figure every month, so with the launch of its facelift Maruti will hope to increase that figures further up.
