Mahindra XUV500 automatic now gets two new features

Mahindra launched the automatic version of XUV500 last year but it was condemned to miss out on couple of necessary features such as Push start button and passive keyless entry. Now, company has included both of features on the automatic variant of the premium SUV at no additional cost. And, like its manual trim, these features have been added on the top spec W10 trim with AWD and 2WD version.

With the addition of new features the list is just got bigger, it sports electric sunroof with anti- pinch, projector headlamps with S shaped LED DRLs, adjustable ORVMs, revised tail lamps, 7 inch touchscreen system with USB, aux-in support, six way adjustable front seats, six airbags, hill start assist and much more.

Under the hood is a 2.2 litre mhawk 140 diesel engine that puts 138bho power@3750rpm and 330Nm of torque@1600-2800rpm, available with front wheel drive as standard along with optional AWD. Transmission duties are taken care by a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. For Delhi-NCR region, the SUV is available with a detuned 1.99l engine which develops the same amount of power and torque.

Mahindra’s flagship SUV is available in range of pain schemes such as opulent purple, Sunset orange, Pearl white, Dolphin Grey, Volcano black, Tucson Red and Moondust Silver. The XUV500 starts at Rs. 12.25 lakh and goes up to Rs. 18.25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the top end W10 AWD AT variant.

Seeing the susceptible future of diesel in the country, Mahindra is working on the range of petrol engines which will be making its way into company’s future launches and current lineup.
