Toyota Kirloskar Motor finally announced the price of the all-new Toyota Yaris whose deliveries will start from May 2018. Toyota has also commenced bookings of the car for a token amount of 50,000 INR. For the new Yaris, the company has managed a competitive price considering its rivals that are the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City and the Hyundai Verna. The Toyota Yaris comes in four variants that are J, G, V and VX offered in either petrol manual or petrol automatic while the latter gets a CVT unit. Engine Details

The new Toyota Yaris packs a 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 108 bhp of max power and churns out 140Nm of max peak torque. The car will either be mated to a 6-Speed manual transmission gearbox or an optional 7-step CVT one. Toyota claims that the manual transmission returns a fuel efficiency of 17.1kmpl, while the CVT returns it of 17.8 kmpl.

Exterior and Interior

Visually the Yaris gives the look of the Toyota Corolla Altis and the Camry. For the exteriors, the vehicle gets large sweptback headlamps with projector units, LED DRLs and LED guide lights. It also has a large front grille with glossy black slats, coupled by round fog lamps. It also comes complimented with 15-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. The car’s door handles gets chrome finish while the ORVMs get integrated turn signal lights. For the back, it comes paired with large LED tail lamps and rear fog lamps. The Yaris for its interiors has, a well-organized cabin with the latest gizmos. You get premium quality interior like roof mounted air-vents with ambient illumination. It also has 8-way adjustable power driver seat, flat floor for the rear section, glass-high solar energy absorbing and tyre pressure monitoring system. With it, the car also gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with gesture control. Not only this, it also comes accompanied by automatic climate control and cruise control function being mounted on the multi-functional steering wheel.

Safety

Toyota provides its Yaris 7 airbags including curtain and knee airbags, front parking sensors, rear parking sensor with a camera, ABS with EBD, stability control and disc brakes for all four wheels.

Toyota Yaris J: 8.75 lakh INR (MT) and 9.95 lakh INR (CVT)

Toyota Yaris G: 10.56 lakh (MT) and 11.76 lakh (CVT)

Toyota Yaris VX: 12.85 lakh INR (MT) and 14.07 lakh (CVT)
