Maserati India finally launched its best selling sedan that is the 2018 Ghibli in the country. The new car comes with a redesigned exterior, a host of technological gizmos and a more powerful diesel engine. Unlike the outgoing model that was available in a single trim, the new Ghibli is offered in three variants that are Diesel, GranLusso and GranSport. The three variants can be differentiated by their front and rear bumpers. Here is detailed info on what the car brings as its features.

Engine Details

Under the hood, the car is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 engine with Common-Rail direct injection diesel engine which produces power 275 bhp of output and maximum torque of 600 Nm. It can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 6.3 seconds and has a top speed of 250kmph. This power unit is mated to an advanced 8-speed automatic transmission. The car’s engine is developed exclusively by Maserati in collaboration with VM Motori.

Exterior and Interior

Talking of styling the Maserati Ghibli gets fitted with new Adaptive full LED headlights with glare-free Matrix high-beam. It also gets Integrated Vehicle Control system (IVC), which helps to prevent vehicle instability. Inside, this luxury car has Ermenegildo Zegna silk upholstery and a sportier design and racing livery. It comes with sports steering wheel, paddle shifts and Inox sport foot pedals.

Safety

For safety, the Ghibli gets the Skyhook suspension system that offers safe driving irrespective of the road conditions, Electric Power Steering (EPS) and Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Price

The price for the 2018 Maserati Ghibli is 1.33 crores INR for the diesel engine, 1.38 crores INR for the Ghibli Diesel GranSport and 1.42 crores for the Ghibli Diesel GranLusso.

With the launch of 2018 Maserati Ghibli, the company has renewed its product portfolio in India, as it also launched the Maserati Quattroporte GTS and the Levante SUV earlier this year.
