Jaguar launches locally manufactured XF in India at Rs. 47.50 lakh

Tata owned Jaguar Land Rover has launched the locally manufactured XF sedan in India at an asking price of Rs. 47.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The XF was initially launched in Indian market in September last year at Rs. 49.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). But thanks to local manufacturing, new XF sedan has resulted in drop in prices up to 2 lakhs. Bookings of Made in India XF have begun at company’s 24 authorized retail outlets across the country.

Jaguar’s XF new lightweight aluminium platform has helped it shed 190 kg weight compared to previous generation model. In addition, despite being 7mm shorter new XF offers generous space inside thanks to 51mm longer wheelbase. Jaguar XF hasn’t received any cosmetic changes it continues to flaunt, LED headlamps with signature LED daytime running lights, familiar front grille, large air scoops, 18 inch alloy wheels and F-Pace inspired LED tail lights.

Step inside and you’ll be welcomed by a 12.3 inch TFT instrument cluster, a 10.2 inch touchscreen infotainment system, 17 speakers meridian sound system, 4-zone automatic climate control, laser HUD, premium leather upholstery, 10 color ambient lighting, Smartphone app which can be used a remote to control various functions and much more.

Under the hood, Jaguar XF comes with a choice of diesel and petrol engine. The 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine makes 237bhp of power and 340Nm of torque. On the other hand, the 2.0 litre all aluminium diesel engine is good for 177bhp power and 430Nm of torque. Both engines are linked to an eight speed automatic gearbox as standard.
