Recently Jaguar has been in the news for small XE sedan and F-pace crossover but now Jaguar has teased next GEN XF saloon which is going to be unveiled on 24th March 2015 in London ahead of its public debut at New York auto show on 1st April 2015. Jaguar XF was initially launched in 2007 and it is undoubtedly the most awarded and bestselling car for the British car maker.

Along with the confirmation, Jaguar has released two teaser videos; one of them shows the top view of new XF which looks less curvy and more refined than before. The main highlight of the event will be the high wire crossing stunt performed by the James bond fame and expert Stuntman Jim Dowdall. He has been involved in Bourne and Indiana Jones movies as well.

Ian Callum, Jaguar Design Chief, said: “I believe the all-new XF will be the best looking car in its class. Elegant, handsome and with proportions that imbue a great sense of integrity – the all-new XF will be true to the strong tradition of sporting Jaguar saloons while being completely of its time.”

Jaguar hasn’t said any word on its specifications they are keeping it under wraps but new Jaguar XF will use the advanced aluminum intensive architecture named IQ (A) and as a result of this will be lighter than the current GEN by 80-90 kgs. Jaguar also claims that new Jaguar would deliver best in class fuel economy of 24.7 KMPL and will offer excellent level of refinement, Luxury and comfort.

The current XE model is featuring a 2.0L unit that delivers 241 PS power and 340Nm of peak torque and a 2.2L oil burner that churns out 190PS power and 450Nm torque. New XF S variant expected to be powered by 3.0L V6 Supercharged petrol mill while the top of the line model will make of the use of 5.0L twin turbo V8 engine.

New XF seems to be the fusion of XJ and XE such as bigger sunroof, sculpted bonnet, new C pillar, sharp lines under the hood, sloping rear windshield like XJ sedan, flared wheel arches and LED third braking light makes new XF much younger and sporty.

Jaguar has also revealed the interior shot of new XF which shows that dashboard is similar to that of outgoing XF but with more premiumness, neat central console gets a LCD screen powered by latest in-control infotainment software, digital instrument panel and HVAC vents now seems to be better placed.

The new GEN XF will go on sale from September 2015 and expect it to hit Indian shores in 2016.
