Hyundai’s fanatic SUV has completed its first year in the Indian market and the first anniversary edition of car of the year was revealed today. The brand commemorated the occasion by handing over first copy to Tennis ace sensation Saina Nehwal for winning Australian open championship.

The SUV has been earning golden tickets for the South Korean maker as the booking numbers has touched the 80,000 mark. The SUV has achieved a remarkable feat as its sales stand at 13,429 units last month as compared to 6783 units in the same month of corresponding year.

For those wondering, Saina Nehwal is one of the most gifted athletes that our country has ever produced, her talent and handwork is awarded with Rajiv Gandhi Khel ratna, Arjuna award, Padma bhushan and Padam Shri and Olympic bronze medalist at the 2012 London Olympiad.

What’s the difference?

The anniversary edition sports red and blue decals on door, blackened roof top, 17 inch diamond cut alloy wheels, anniversary badge on the sides. The 1st anniversary edition comes in three color shades- passion red, sleek silver and polar white. It will be based on SX (O) variant and expected to be Rs. 20,000-30,000 costlier than the standard model.

On the inside, it gets red black interiors flanked by red outlines around the AC vents and central console, red black upholstery which adds some sporty element to the cabin. Rest of features remains same as the standard model.

Ahead of its official launch next month, the prices of Anniversary edition has been revealed and below are the prices: – (ex-showroom Delhi)

Hyundai Creta Anniversary edition (Petrol):- Rs. 12.23 lakh

Hyundai Creta Anniversary edition (Diesel):- Rs. 13.76 lakh
