The car has been tested extensively on Indian roads and is equipped with innovative useful features like anti glare feature on the mirror providing safety while night driving, rear parking sensors, rear wipers, rain sensing wipers, automatic turning on and off of headlights sensing the visibility around and disc brakes at the rear too. With these hi-tech features on list Hyundai targets the urban midde class customers. Well here’s what the experts have to say! Read on..

Hyundai launched its new i-gen i20 in march last yr and like all the new Hyundai cars it too is inspired from the Fluidic design. According to an expert, it is replaced the older version which was being sold in India and the Fluidic design has given it a new look as Hyundai is always keen about the looks of the vehicle. With Asta (O) being the top model, the car is packed with all features which a middle/high class family would need may it be the fully automatic climate control system or the entertainment corner with USB, Aux-in  and ipod ports and not to forget the digitalized instrument panel and dashboard. He has rated 4stars each to comfort, looks, mileage, engine and interiors with safety getting three and a half stars. Among the pros are the improved engine, automatic version availability, spacious cabin and good looking exteriors.  Coming to the cons are non-availability of automatic version in diesel car, steering is quite light and thus can be unstable at times, not-so exciting features as its peers and cost higher than them. The car price ranges from Rs. 4.84 lacs to Rs. 7.79 lacs.

A unique promotion strategy of Hyundai called ‘cast a spell’ targeted youth by uploading a video on Youtube and other digital medias which got around 1 million views within weeks of the launch.

Another expert who drove the new i20 and the the old i20 and found there’s no difference in the performance, only the looks have been enhanced and features list has been increased. Infact he suggests Hyundai to improve the valve timing system for better low-end responses. However there’s a big improvement incase of Suspension of the car, which was trouble in the old car, so now the car is much stable on potholes and bumps comparatively. The car is easy to maneuver in city traffic because of the slick gear shift, easy clutch and light steering. Also the length of the car has been increased. With the car fully loaded with commuters the car seems to be little difficult to maneuver.

The newly added fog lamps in the top variant and the stylish rear bumper is definitely enchanting, says an expert. Also the electric ORVMs with turn indicators and other safety features like ABS with EBD, EPS and 6 airbags add to protection of the passenger giving peace of mind to many!

If you are a car enthusiast who just gets crazy for looks, then this car would definitely delight you, with its aerodynamic structure and Fluidic design, but don’t forget to notice other important aspects like mileage, suspension and pick up.
