Mitsubishi is all set to bring their next-generation SUV in India after it launched its Pajero Sports SUV last year. Mitsubishi’s only product for the Indian market is Pajero SUV and this new one would be launched with exterior changes. Here are the insider updates about the all-new Pajero:
Engine Details
The SUV houses a 2.4 litre, MIVEC turbo diesel engine that produces an output of 150 Bhp. An all-new eight-speed automatic gearbox will be mated to its engine.
Exterior and Interior
The new generation SUV will have a new design. Mitsubishi has used ample chrome on the exteriors to render a plush look. For the front, the car gets headlamp cluster and a thin LED daytime light strip. The upper grille gets two chrome slats and air intakes are placed just beneath the upper grille. Fog lamps are positioned below the lower bumper. The car’s A and B pillar are finished in black. Tyres are massive and get multi-spoke alloy rims as well. For the interiors, a single colour theme with chrome accents and silver splashes are used all around the cabin. The seats are upholstered in premium leather and the dashboard features a cascading centre console with two integrated cup holders. The cabin will also get a touchscreen infotainment system, an electronic handbrake, and a four-spoke multifunction.
Safety
Safety features are expected to have autonomous braking, descent control, blind spot monitoring, seven airbags and a 360-degree camera.
Expected Price
Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is expected to be priced between 25 lakh INR to 28 lakh INR.
The company will bring the car via CKD route to the Indian markets and its assembling will be done at Hindustan Motors’ manufacturing unit in Chennai. It will face competition from Chevrolet’s new Trailblazer, New Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner.
