BMW 330i Petrol launched in India at Rs 42.40 lakhs

BMW India has silently launched a new 330i variant of the 3-series in the country at an asking price of Rs. 42.40 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The 330i M sport is available with an introductory price of Rs. 44.9 lakh. Both are available as completely knocked down units unlike the replaced 320i which were CBUs. With the introduction of these two new variants, the line up now comprises of six variants including 320d Prestige, 330i Sport Line, 320d Luxury Line, 320d Sport Line, 330i M Sport and 320d M Sport.

Powering 330i petrol is a 2.0 litre twin turbo charged four cylinder engine that makes 248bhp power@5200rpm and 350Nm of torque between 1450-4800rpm. The power is sent to rear wheels via an eight speed steptronic sport automatic transmission. It also features four driving modes- comfort, eco pro, sport and sport plus. BMW claims 330i to hit a ton from dead still in just 5.8 seconds and rated to deliver fuel efficiency of 16.05 Kmpl.

In terms of design 330i M sport flaunts a signature black kidney grille with high gloss finish, LED headlamps with LED DRLs, 17 inch alloy wheels, LED tail lamps and dual exhaust tail pipes. On the inside, features on board are 8.8 inch iDrive touchscreen with 20GB integrated memory, handwriting recognition and 3D maps.

It also get 205W nine speakers system with Hands free, USB connectivity, bluetooth audio streaming, full color head up display, automatic dual-zone climate control with rear air vents, Dakota leather upholstery, M sport leather steering wheel and entry sill with BMW badging.

The 330i sport is available in three color shades- black sapphire, Alpine white and Mediterranean blue while 330i M sport comes with first two colors only. In terms of safety, BMW 3 series includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, cornering brake control, reverse parking camera, attentive assistance to name a few.
