In the Auto Expo 2014, Renault made its appearance very well by presenting its ongoing as well as new cars. In this queue of new models, company’s very first electric car was also there which grabbed people’s attention. This electric car is named as Zoe which was launched in December 2012 globally and running successfully since then, though it is not decided yet whether this car would launch in India or not.

Price:

As its launch in India is not confirmed yet, hence price range is not possible to guess this time. Internationally, this small electric car is available at the base price tag of £ 13,995 which means around 14.46 lakhs in Indian rupee.

Engine details:

A lithium ion battery is equipped in this car which is good to develop 88bhp of max power and 220Nm of peak torque. It takes 6-9 hours to charge the battery completely. It can reach 0-100km/h with the top speed of just 135 km/h which is not much cool though.

Space & Dimension:

It is a small compact car which is 4084mm long with 5 seats. It carries the boot space of 338 liters which can be extended to 1225 liters by folding the seats.

Interior & Exterior:

Renault’s this small n trendy model has an attractive glimpse. The main equipments in this electric car including safety, exterior and interior as well are hill start assist, rear parking sensor, ESP with anti-skid regulation (ASR), front, side and anti-submarine airbags, hands free key card, LED daytime running lights, light and rain sensor, leather steering wheel ad gear lever knob, rear view camera, cruise control with speed limiter and aerotronic 16” alloy wheel rims etc.

Car Zoom’s take:

Renault is comparatively new brand but increasing its network rapidly in India too. This electric car by company which has been unveiled at Auto Expo seems a good option for daily users but also seems very expensive as per its international price range. Though, there are no plans by company to launch it in India this time but if it will be planned then Renault will have to reduce its price as per Indian car market.
