It’s no doubt that Nissan’s this car Evalia is facing a tough time in terms of sale since its very first launch in India in 2012. This is the reason why company has updated this model once again after updating it just few months ago and brings it to 12th Auto Expo. Evalia is a MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) of Nissan brand which seems more like commercial vehicle instead of families’.

Price:

No price changes have been reported with this facelift version. It can be availed with the same price tags of 8.78-10.72 lakhs like earlier.

Engine details:

Its engine is remained untouched too, it will continue with the same 1.5 l K9K diesel engine which comes in five trims namely XE, XE Plus, XL, XV and the top variant XV O. This engine develops max power of 85bhp@3750rpm while peak torque of 200Nm@2000rpm. The engine is mated with a 5-speed manual transmission and offers ARAI certified mileage of 19.33 km/l.

Space & Dimension:

This big MPV is 4400mm in length, 1700mm in width and 1860mm in height with the clear height of 180mm and amazing boot space of 500 liters which can be extended to 2100 liters by folding its seats. It offers seating capacity for seven passengers; two at front, three in middle and two at rear.

Interior & Exterior:

It’s the main section where Nissan’s this model gets minor renovation. It has been designed with now massive and stylish new grille and new chrome finished tailgate. Other than this, it will continue with those features which had been equipped in its top-end variant at last time when it was modified. These are sliding windows and captain seats on the middle row, 15” alloy wheels, refined wood trimmed cluster, roof AC vents in 2nd as well as 3rd row, rear wiper, rear defogger, 2-DIN audio system with USB, rear view mirror and glove box lid etc.

Road handling & Safety:

It is well equipped with required safety features like Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD system, immobilizer, central locking (only in three top most variants) and door ajar warning etc.

It has good engine drivability. On the city roads, the engine seems flexible and has regulated turbo lag which is said to be one of the plus point of this K9K diesel engine. Evalia’s riding and handling quality is admirable with its light steering and perfect gear ratios. This MPV accelerates 0-100 km/h in mere 17-18 seconds with the top speed of 170 km/h.
