All new Honda CR-V spied for the first time; looks Curvy

New Honda CRV

Rumors have been around that Honda is working on Next gen model of CR-V for some time now. The SUV has been spied tested on the roads of Michigan, USA for the first time in full camouflage. The Spied images suggest that the company has increased the length, width and height of the vehicle and this new generation will feature with seven row seats. The ongoing model is available as a five seater.

Looking at the leaked images, the front fascia seems to get conventional Honda styling with large hexagonal grille with multi-slat chrome slates, new headlamps with LED DRLs, new front bumper flanked by large air and fog lamps.

The sides look much proportionate than the current model while rear feature L shaped LED tail lights along with dual exhaust tips, roof spoiler and third brake lamp adding more chiseled appeal to the SUV.

The interiors were not visible but we expect it to come with next level of tech goodies, premium interiors and advanced safety aids.

In terms of powertrains, it will sport with retuned 2.0 litre diesel and a 2.4 litre petrol engines with both manual and automatic as transmission options. In international markets, the SUV will be offered with 2.0 litre turbocharged diesel, 1.6 litre and 2.4 litre turbocharged petrol engines. The Plug-in hybrid could also be on the cards and we expect new CR-V to make its debut by mid 2017 and might reach India by 2018.
