In order to make things spicier, Volkswagen will soon add a new top spec variant to its burgeoning Vento range called highline Plus. It will seat above the current Highline trim in Vento’s lineup. The new Highline plus trim will be added to Polo and Ameo as new top trim soon. Ahead of its official launch, the new Vento TSI DSG has started arriving at dealerships while other transmissions are likely to reach by 7-8 weeks. Interested buyers can book it any VW dealership for an amount of Rs. 75,000.

The 2017 Vento highline plus trim comes with full LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights and reverse parking camera. Apart from these, the new top end grade will sport the similar features and goodies as the current Highline grade. It also rides on new 16 inch alloy wheels. All these changes make it Rs. 80,000 expensive than the current top spec Vento highline trim.

On the inside, new variant is expected to come with more updates to further add some zing to Vento sedan. However, it features a Mirrorlink touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, cruise control, rain sensing wiper and much more.

The 2017 model will be offered with same powertrains- 1.2 litre TSI petrol, 1.5l TDI diesel and 1.6l 4-cylinder MPI petrol engine. The 1.5l TDI and 1.6MPI petrol are linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox while the 1.2l TSI also get a 7-speed DSG gearbox as standard and optional for TDI. Volkswagen might also introduce new 1.4l petrol which could develop around 120bhp. It might be the last major update before it will get a new model by 2018.
