2017 Honda Mobilio Teased ahead of its Global Unveil

Honda-Mobilio-facelift

Honda’s MPV Mobilio was launched in 2014 and since then it hasn’t received any update yet. It seems the carmaker is all geared up to give Mobilio a mid cycle update soon as first set of teaser images have surfaced online. The facelift Mobilio will be first unveiled in Indonesia on January 10, 2017, however there is no news of the new model making to India or not. The carmaker has recently updated Amaze and Brio and will soon launch the new City facelift in India.

Going by the teaser images, the facelift seems to be major as it gets comprehensive changes up front. By the looks of it, new Mobilio seems to get Brio inspired styling with upright face, new upper fascia flanked by larger sweptback headlamps with LED daytime running lights, thick chrome bar and larger grille. The lower half looks also revamped with angular air dams and shaper fog lamp enclosures.

2017 Mobilio sports new Royal blue exterior color and new 15 inch alloy wheels. The rear hasn’t been revealed yet but it is expected to get new bumper, spoiler and tail lamps. On the inside, it will feature the BR-V inspired layout along with some added features and new upholstery.

The new model is likely to retain similar engines- 1.5l i-DTEC diesel engine that produces 99bhp power@3600rpm and 200Nm of torque@1750rpm. A 1.5l i-VTEC petrol engine makes 117.3bhp of power@6600rpm and 145Nm of torque@4600rpm. The 2017 version can be had with a 5-speed manual or an Earthdreams CVT (petrol only).

The new Avatar will surely boost its sales in the country; Honda retailed 3396 units of Mobilio in November 2016 which is pretty low as compared to 16380 units sold in the 2015. Honda is also offering mouthwatering discounts of up to Rs. 2 lakh on the 2015 and 2016 versions of Mobilio.
