In a bid to keep the products in the headlines, General Motors has silently rolled out the refreshed Chevrolet beat in India with some tweaks and lucrative price tag of Rs. 4.28 lakh for the base variant and finishes at Rs. 5.55 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The General Motors have range of new products lined up for India this year which include new Chevrolet Cruze, trailblazer facelift, new compact SUV and new beat hatchback. All these cars are expected to make debut at the forthcoming Indian Auto expo.

The updated hatchback is offered with new features like silver interior accents on the entry level variants, remote keyless entry with foldable key, height adjustable driver seat and steering mounted audio controls. On the safety front, Lt variant now sport airbag while the top LTZ trim gets dual front airbags, ABS (Anti-lock braking system) and EBD (electric brake force distribution).

To make beat more appealing, Chevrolet has equipped it with body color door handles, new rear spoiler with LED inserts, new dual tone bumper with sporty reflectors and a pair of stylish fog lamps with chrome accents. In addition, it continue to sport stretched headlamps with chrome accents, clear glass colored tail lamps and grab door handles located at C-pillar.

Story under the hood remains same and it continue to draw power from 1.2 liter petrol developing max power of 77bhp@6200rpm and 106.5Nm@4400rpm while the diesel beat gets the 1.0 litre, 3-cylinder engine 58.5bhp@4000rpm and high torque of 142.5Nm@1750rpm. Both the engines are matched to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The oil burner returns an ARAI certified mileage of 25.44kmpl while petrol is good for 18.6 KMPL.
