The German automajor Volkswagen will be introducing 2015 Vento facelift in Indian market on 23rd June, the second update for a sedan in a year’s time. The VW dealers have already started taking bookings with the token amount of Rs. 25,000. Exactly nine months ago on 24th September 2014 VW updated Vento and now it will launch another facelift of the sedan.

2015 Volkswagen Vento gets some cosmetic changes and bunch of new goodies and features with a marginal increase in price. The new facelift Vento was unveiled in international markets, a month ago and same may head to India as well. According to Volkswagen, the new Vento would be 7 percent more fuel efficient than the previous version.

At the outset, new Vento gets three slat chrome grille like outgoing Passat, restyled front bumper, rectangular fog lamps with integrated cornering lights. The side profile of new Vento gets a set of 15 inch alloy wheels, ORVMs with LED blinkers, door handles gets chrome tint and new radio antenna. At the rear, there is a new tail light cluster with faux 3D LED effect, modified bumpers, thick chrome line on boot lid and exhaust tip.

The 2015 Volkswagen Vento will be available in six colors– Carbon steel, Toffee brown, Titanium Beige, night blue, Candy white and Reflex Silver.

The new Vento is now 6mm longer and 1mm taller than the current model and offers 8 liters of more boot space (494 liters) while the ground clearance have gone down to 163mm from 165mm.

The interior layout remains similar to the outgoing model but additional equipments have been included such as cooled glove box, dead pedal, cruise control, boot release button, auto folding OVRMs (highline Trim only). The dashboard gets a new color theme too Cloud titanschwarz theme for lower Trendline and Comfortline variants while the highline variant gets Walnut desert beige scheme.

The new Vento retain the same engines of outgoing model- 1.2L producing 103bhp and 1.6L petrol engine delivering 104bhp power. There is also a 1.5L diesel engine that churns out 103.5bhp power and 250Nm torque. The petrol engines are paired with 5-speed manual and 7-speed DSG gearbox.

The engines have been revamped for better fuel efficiency; the mileage of 1.6L petrol has been upped to 20.6 from 20.4 KMPL, 1.2L returns 18.12 from 16.93 and 1.5L diesel mill gives 21.5 KMPL from 21.2 KMPL.
